Colin Phillips

Installations Director and Business Partner

Colin has been in the kitchen industry all his working life. From leaving school he joined a leading kitchen distributor, learning quickly he soon progressed to become their logistics manager. Moving later into kitchen design and sales and then into kitchen fitting, Colin is well placed to understand the needs of our customers.

Looking after the installation side of the business, Colin’s role is to take your wonderful kitchen design, together with all those special choices you made and get it installed without fuss to your total satisfaction.

Darren Goodman

Sales Director and Business Partner

Darren gained his original experience from being a draftsman then in the insulation, sheet metal and asbestos field was an estimator and then progressing to area sales and contract manager then national sales and contract manager and eventually running his own business.

Then, in 1998, he got together with Colin to start The Little Kitchen Factory, bringing his experience & knowledge of running his own business to the table. Then on top of his drawing and estimating skills Darren spent three years out fitting kitchens gaining an extensive knowledge of the kitchen industry before taking on the sales and design role, happily leaving the fitting side in Colin’s safe hands.

This invaluable time on site fitting together with his previous draftsman’s experience made the move into kitchen design an easy transition.

Now with 17 years design and successful sales experience is working alongside his two fellow designers.

John English

Designer

John originally came to us in 2005 after running a pine furniture factory in Tuxford. Eager to add another string to his bow, he soon became a very valued member of staff. Learning from both Darren and Colin, John has become a brilliant kitchen designer. With his warm, friendly personality, he is very easy to get on with and our customers find him a breath of fresh air, not pushy, not arrogant, just a nice bloke that is very good at what he does.

John, now with his wealth of experience in kitchen & bedroom design, will listen, advise and carefully take you through the design process from start to finish — there’s not many better!

Natalie Phillips

Book Keeper

Natalie for the last 20 years has worked with our appointed accountant looking after the company’s finances and paying the bills, regularly being seen around the showroom helping when needed.

Darren Freebury

Kitchen and Bedroom Fitter Team Leader

Qualified 18th Edition Electrician

Previously working for a competitor, Darren had been on our ‘radar’ for some time and we finally enticed him to join us in 2004.

Very knowledgeable, as he frequently reminds us, Darren has been a true asset to our business and is just at home fitting your kitchen, bedroom or bathroom.

Over the years Darren has become a Full Scope qualified electrician and is one of the country’s very first to pass the new 2019, 18th Edition qualification — praise indeed.

He is also a highly skilled plumber and tiller.

Bryn Smith

Kitchen & Bedroom Fitter

Bryn has been fitting for many years. With obvious flair and ability to achieve fine work he is a very important member of our team.

He has a lovely, approachable, friendly nature and is a pleasure to have around.

With a passion for football he previously played for Nottingham Forest under 16 academy until an ankle injury forced him to stop playing.
